Gain Muscle

Whether you are already fit or if you are looking to start from scratch, weight training and healthy supplements can help you bulk up and build muscle. Follow these steps.

Instructions

1. Create a schedule that works for you. You have to keep to your weight training schedule and be prudent in your food and supplement choices. When you become committed to bulking up, you have to take it serious. If you train too much, you might burn yourself out and if you don't train enough, you might not get the results you are looking for.

2. Use a time limit. Many people think that if they work out for longer periods of time, they will be able to increase their muscle mass at a quicker rate. This is not a true fact. Shorter training periods done effectively are much more beneficial in muscle mass increase.

3. Use specific muscle exercises to increase muscle mass. Free weights are great for building muscle mass and can be effective because you use a variety of different angles. Pulling and pushing on stabilized machines are not as beneficial as we think.

4. Isolate muscle groups. Work on a specific area each time to prevent you from having any muscle injuries. It is good to write out a schedule of what muscles you will target each time you work out and keep to it.

5. Limit cardiovascular exercises. Cardio will keep burning off weight that you are trying to build. While cardio is good for the heart and blood flow, it doesn't really help if you want to bulk up and gain muscle.

6. Invest in muscle building and weight gain supplements. Creatine, whey, arginine and glutamine are just a few products you can use while building muscle mass. A variety of supplments can be found in your local heath or fitness store, and can aid in building muscle mass.
