Make Bbq Flyers

Hold a summer barbecue to raise money for charity.

If you're welcoming the arrival of summer evenings in style then you may be holding a barbecue. Getting your friends, family, neighbors and local people to attend is a great way to socialize. You could even turn it into a fundraising event. Whatever the reason you need to tell people about it -- and making a flier is the ideal way to do it. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Confirm when and where the barbecue will be held. Write down additional information that needs to be written on the flier, such as the cost of food, a contact number for directions or whether guests should bring contributions.

2. Make a design on a piece of paper for the flier. It should measure roughly 6-by-4 inches. Draw a box this sized on the paper.

3. Give your barbecue a name. Write this as a heading on the flier. Center it at the top using big, bold, capital letters.

4. Write down clearly the list of information your created. Keep it simple and clear because whoever reads the flier needs to understand and digest the information quickly. Make it into bullet points below the heading but use a smaller font.

5. Illustrate the flier using one image for ultimate impact. Print a picture of a grill with burgers off the Internet or get creative and sketch it yourself.

6. Decorate the flier using colored pens. Color in any pictures you have drawn and go around the letters with a different color.

7. Photocopy the flier in color and then trim its edges so no white paper is exposed.
