Have A Trilogy Movie Marathon

It's been said that good things come in threes, and this rings true with trilogy movies. While some famous trilogies like Star Wars, The Terminator, and Indiana Jones have expanded in recent years to include more than three prequels and/or sequels, there are still a great amount of trilogies that can be appreciated in threes. The best way to appreciate the power of three is to have a movie marathon focused on trilogy movies. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions


1. Watch "Back to the Future" (1985), "Back to the Future Part II" (1989) and "Back to the Future Part III" (1990). This iconic 80's trilogy stars Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly, your average teenager who finds himself in various adventures alongside Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) as they time travel in Doc's time machine (an old beat up DeLorean).


2. Watch "The Godfather" (1972), "The Godfather Part II" (1974) and "The Godfather Part III" (1990). Follow the Corleone family as the patriarch of this mobster family teaches his reluctant son follow in his footsteps.


3. Watch "The Matrix" (1999), "The Matrix Reloaded" (2003) and "The Matrix Revolutions" (2003). A computer hacker learns his role in the war against a mysterious force of controllers, and battles malevolent cyber-intelligent forms of life. Keanu Reeves stars.


4. Watch "Jurassic Park" (1993), "The Lost World: Jurassic Park" (1997) and "Jurassic Park III" (2001). Based off the Michael Crichton novel, watch as cloned dinosaurs begin to run wild through this series of adventures.


5. Watch "The Mighty Ducks" (1992), "D2: The Mighty Ducks" (1994) and "D3: The Mighty Ducks" (1996). Follow coach Gordon Bombay (Emilio Estevez) and his hockey team of Ducks as they work their way to win various championships


6. Watch "The Mummy" (1999), "The Mummy Returns" (2001) and "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" (2008). An archeologist on a dig site accidentally awakens a Mummy--and that's when the real adventures begin.


7. Watch "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" (2001), "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" (2002) and "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King" (2003). Follow young hobbit Frodo (Elijah Wood) as he embarks on a great adventure due to the precious ring he has been entrusted with.


8. Watch "Spiderman" (2002), "Spiderman 2" (2004) and "Spiderman 3" (2007). Follow popular comic superhero Spiderman (Toby Maguire) through various adventures involving the Green Goblin and his love Mary Jane (Kirstin Dunst).


9. Watch "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl" (2003), "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" (2006) and "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" (2007). Follow Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp), Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swan (Kiera Knightly) on the high seas as they take on various un-dead pirates and other creatures of the sea.
