Jump With Strength Shoes

Strength shoes can be used to increase your lower leg strength, running speed and vertical leaping ability. One way to exercise with strength shoes is to perform jumping exercises while wearing the shoes. This can be a little bit tricky at first as you will need to get used to balancing yourself while wearing the strength shoes. Once you are comfortable with the strength shoes, jumping is very easy as the shoes will literally keep you on your toes while jumping.

Instructions

1. Begin by putting the strength shoes on over your normal basketball or training shoes. The strength shoes will slip right on over your sneakers. Then, tighten the straps so the strength shoes are snug around your sneaker.

2. Stand up after you put the strength shoes on your feet. Notice how the shoes keep the heels of both feet elevated off of the ground. It's wise to walk around for a few minutes before you attempt to jump with strength shoes.

3. Start hopping straight up and down while wearing the strength shoes. This is a good beginner's workout and another way for you to used to the feel of the shoes. When hopping, you should only go a few inches off of the ground. Do this for one consecutive minute. Then, take a break for one minute and begin the hopping exercise again.

4. Jog in place. When you do this wearing strength shoes, you will actually be hopping back and forth on one leg. Try doing this for five to 10 consecutive minutes at first. Once you get more comfortable using the strength shoes and your leg strength increases, you can double or even triple your workout times.

5. Use a small step either in your home or outdoors when jumping with strength shoes. Stand in front of the step and facing the step. Then, leap onto the step. As soon as your toes hit the step, you should immediately hop back down to your starting position. Continue jumping back and forth from the step to the ground for one or two minutes.
