Have A Leonardo Dicaprio Movie Marathon

Born in November 1974, Leonardo DiCaprio started out in film playing Toby in 1993's "This Boy's Life," which co-starred Robert De Niro. Prior to this role, he was seen in 1985 as the homeless boy Luke in the TV series Growing Pains. Since then, Leo has taken on countless other roles that have rocketed him to superstardom--and what better way to appreciate his acting talents than to have a movie marathon in his honor. 1. Watch "What's Eating Gilbert Grape." This 1993 film stars Johnny Depp as Gilbert Grape, who has the responsibility of caring for his autistic brother Arnie and his morbidly obese mother. His caretaker role hinders his love life when he falls in love with the perfect girl, and he must learn juggle all these aspects of his life. Nineteen-year-old Leo received his first Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations for the role of Arnie and has claimed that portraying this character was "the most fun I've ever had."


2. Watch 1995's "The Basketball Diaries." Leo stars as Jim Carroll, a high school basketball star who goes to extremes to feed his heroin addiction. Based on a true story, Leo shares the screen with Lorraine Bracco, Mark Whalberg and Juliette Lewis.


3. Watch 1996's "Romeo and Juliet," which puts Leo in the role of Romeo opposite Claire Danes as Juliet. This version of the classic Shakespeare play is set the modern-day city of "Verona Beach." Co-stars include John Leguizamo, Brian Dennehy, Paul Sorvino and Paul Rudd.


4. Watch 1997's blockbuster mega-hit "Titanic." Winning 11 Oscars in 1998 (including the Oscar for Best Picture), this film is one of the highest-grossing films of all time and stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Jack Dawson alongside Kate Winslet's Rose DeWitt Bukater. This fictional romance showcases rich girl Rose and poor boy Jack meeting and falling in love on the ill-fated voyage of the Titanic. This movie skyrocketed Leo's career and made him a household name.


5. Watch Martin Scorcese's 2002 crime drama "Gangs of New York." Leo stars as Amsterdam Vallon, a man who returns New York City in 1863 seeking revenge against his father's murderer. Co-stars include Daniel Day Lewis, Cameron Diaz, John C. Reilly and Liam Neeson.


6. Watch 2002's "Catch Me If You Can." Based on a true story, Leo stars as the young con artist Frank Abagnale, Jr., who cashes more than $2.5 million in fraudulent checks in over 25 countries by impersonating various professions from bank tellers to airplane pilots. Tom Hanks co-stars as the FBI agent on a mission to track Frank down.


7. Watch Martin Scorcese's 2004 biography "The Aviator," which dictates the life of legendary director and aviator Howard Hughes from the late 1920s to the mid-1940s. Leo stars as the obsessive-compulsive Howard opposite co-stars such as Kate Beckinsale, Cate Blanchett, Alec Baldwin, John C. Reilly and Jude Law.


8. Watch Martin Scorcese's 2006 crime drama "The Departed," a story revolving around a rivalry between the Massachusetts State Police and an Irish-American gang. It's hard to tell the good guys from the bad guys, so watch to find which side Leo's Billy Costigan is on. Co-stars include Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson and Mark Wahlberg.


9. Watch the 2006 adventure drama "Blood Diamond." Leo stars as Danny Archer, a man heavily invested in the diamond business who travels to Sierra Leone to battle over the possession of one priceless diamond. Co-stars include Djimon Hounsou and Jennifer Connelly.
