Increase Stamina & Endurance

Stamina and endurance are important for sports and fitness.

Building up endurance and stamina can help the body work out for longer periods of time without fatigue and pain. We build endurance the more we do something: the more you run, the more you will be able to run; and the more you swim, the more you will be able to swim. It is just a matter of training your body one step at a time what you want it to do.

Instructions

1. Start out slow. It doesn't matter what you're trying to build up to, whether it's swimming, running a marathon or just walking ten miles, you will want to start out slow. We will use walking as the example. Walk one mile for three days straight.

2. Walk three miles for three days straight after you've finished the one mile three days straight. This will give your body time to get used to one routine and then up the ante. Your body will be raring to go after the first mile because that's what it's used to, but after the second mile you may slow down some. If it takes more than the three days to get used to walking three miles, then add on a couple more days at that distance.

3. Add on a couple more miles; if you did three last time, try six this time. If you double the number of miles you walk every three to fives days, within less than a month you can have the endurance to walk ten miles.
