Make Long Flights Easier

You are headed for a wonderful vacation, but you have one slight problem: a grueling, bumpy 13-hour flight. Don't fret. If you follow these simple steps, you can get through the flight easily and stress free.

Instructions

1. Preparation is key. You will not enjoy your flight if you have not prepared properly for your journey. Make sure you have a good book with you and any other materials you would need to keep busy. Prepare a traveler's kit that has the basic necessities for your flight. And above all, get a good night's sleep.

2. Make sure you go into the plane fully willing to leave all your worries behind. Nothing makes a worse flight than worrying about all the things you have left undone.

3. Set up your space, making sure you're comfortable. Inflate your pillow and relax. Start by reading a good book and adjusting your seat. Remove your shoes if you feel constrained by them.

4. Make sure you are drinking water constantly. Avoid eating overly greasy meals, but do force yourself to eat properly. Make sure you are chewing gum when the plane takes off to avoid ear aches.

5. Try to sleep a good portion of the plane trip, because it will help you to adjust more to the time difference. In between this, it is a good idea to take short walks to improve circulation in your legs and arms. Try some stretching. Above all, enjoy the experience and all that it has to offer.
