Lose 7 Pounds In 7 Days

7 Pounds in 7 Days

there's a special occasion coming up, and you're afraid you won't fit into the sexy outfit you bought. You only have a few days to slim down... is it possible to lose a few pounds? Yes. With this diet program you will truly lose seven pounds in seven days.

Instructions

1. BREAKFAST: Do not skip breakfast. Fill up with protein and carbohydrates in the morning to help negate hunger later. A slice of whole grain bread and two egg whites will suffice.

2. Stay away from sugar. Instead of your usual grapefruit for breakfast (which is very rich in sugar), a better choice is a serving of whole grain bread or cereal. Both are packed with complex carbs that fill you up and prevent a rapid return of hunger.

3. LUNCH: Fill up on veggies. Opt for green veggies and beans that have low calorie content. Do not mix the dressing in with the salad. Instead, dip your fork into the dressing when taking a bite. This will significantly reduce your calorie intake.

4. Select your food smartly. To cut down on calories when eating a turkey sandwich from a leftover turkey breast, skip the mayonnaise. And a deli turkey on whole wheat bread increases sodium intake more than ten-fold, which will cause undesirable water retention. Also, when eating at a Japanese restaurant, remember, while sushi on the menu may be a healthy choice, not all sushi will promote weight loss. Choose sashimi, made from thin slices of raw meat, instead of sushi, which contains rice.

5. AFTERNOON SNACK

Snack healthy with a tablespoon of peanut butter on a couple of celery sticks. It's quite tasty, and peanut butter supplies needed protein.

Forget about diet snacks. "A key element toward successful weight loss is staying away from processed foods," says Anthony Burrows, one of the top weight-loss consultants for celebrities. These so-called "fat-free" snacks will not fill you up the way fresh foods do, and they only seduce you into eating more later. Opt for moderate servings of unprocessed foods, such as nuts or fruit.

6. DINNER: Limit your portions. Make it a habit of measuring your portions to stay under your limit. A good dinner would be one-half cup of brown rice, three ounces of protein, and a generous serving of steamed vegetables.

Skip the salt. Any water you retain is the result of high sodium intake. Try to minimize salt consumption to about 1,000 mg a day. Burrows says that when buying your seasonings, be sure the label informs you that the product is sodium-free

Obtain your protein from fish. Its protein content is high and fat calories are low when compared to other meats. Opt for lean fish, such as cod or halibut.

Eat more asparagus. According to Dr. Burrows, because asparagus improves urinary function, you'll shed those seven pounds much faster than you would without it.
