Make A Beaded Bib Necklace

Make a Beaded Bib Necklace

Bib necklaces are a hot jewelry item. Many are selling at upscale boutiques for close to $100. You can create your own bib necklace in just a few minutes using some supplies you can pick up at an arts and crafts store. You can have the same fashion accessory tailored to your style for a fraction of the cost. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Cut tulle into rectangle that is 1 yard by 1 yard.

2. Fold tulle in half. It's okay if the edges are not completely straight.

3. Hold down center and fold each side up kind of like you're making a paper plane.

4. Take first gem and glue where all three pieces of tulle meet in order to anchor the bib. You only need a small amount of glue; tulle is very absorbent.

5. Fold down the two sides near the triangle points of the bib section, holding it in place with glued gems or beads, in order to make the bib portion of the necklace more distinct. It should almost resemble one of those impossible-to-fold origami cranes with the sides being the pointed-down wings and the "bib" part of the necklace being the body.

6. Place gems, feathers and beads sporadically throughout the bib section to create a couture look.
