Losing pounds in one night is no walk in the park. However, it can be realized with the right level of commitment and discipline. Shedding a few pounds may not be noticeable, but it can mean fitting into a smaller pair of jeans or wearing that dress you have been longing to put on. Losing pounds in one night is going to take pushing yourself to the limit. 2. Perform 45 minutes of exercise. Running, swimming and cycling are just a few ways to do cardio, which increases the heart rate and works up a sweat. Try to find a good outdoor route to run, rather than using the treadmill. Be sure not to work out more than 45 minutes, because you will not have as much energy due to a low-calorie diet.


3. Weigh yourself following your exercise routine to ensure that you are burning calories. Keep in mind your weight-loss goal.


4. Limit your food intake to 1,500 calories for the day. Fruits and vegetables are the only foods that you should consume on the night that you decide to lose a few pounds. Avoid eating too many fruits, because they are high in sugar.


5. Ensure that you drink no less than 8 glasses of water. Drinking enough water will help suppress your appetite. Do not try to drink excessive amounts of water at once. Be sure to drink water throughout the day and avoid drinking water right before you go to sleep. Water flushes out impurities and helps boost your metabolism.


6. Sit in a sauna for 30 minutes. The profuse sweating is sure to burn a great deal of calories.
