Help Tired Legs

Help Tired Legs

One of the leading causes for aching, tired legs is poor circulation. This is common for people who work standing on their feet all day. A good way to get circulation moving into your legs again is exercise and stretching those muscles, followed by a soak in warm water.

Instructions

1. Stretch your legs first. Use the chair for support, keeping one leg in front of the other, and gently lean forward, stretching the calves one at a time.

2. Take a walk. Your muscles are warm now, so a walk will get the circulation going in your legs again. Don't try to do too much, just an easy pace for ten minutes will help get the blood pumping.

3. Run a warm, but not hot, bath with just enough water to cover your legs. Add 1/2 cup of epsom salt to the water and stir with your hand to dissolve. Sit in the water, letting your legs soak until the muscles feel relaxed. A hot tub is a good alternative, if you have one available to you.
