Get A Flat Stomach By Sucking In

Most people have had that moment when a pretty girl walks by or when trying to get last season's pants on when they've had to "suck in" or contract their stomachs. Although this is a quick fix when needed, you can use the method to actually gain a trimmer middle. Using the down time you have while standing in line, sitting at your desk or walking down the street to "suck in your stomach" can actually be very effective for you in the long run, as long as you are consistent. Instructions


1. Stand up straight and maintain good posture. Rolling your shoulders forward or slouching can cause your stomach to stick out further than necessary.


2. Gently contract your stomach muscles until they are as tight as they can go. Hold the contraction for five seconds and then release for five seconds, while still keeping the muscles lightly contracted and maintaining good posture. Repeat, and keep track of how repetitions you do.


3. When it is not possible to fully contract your abdominals, keep them lightly contracted (i.e. you should still be able to talk easily, but not take a full, deep breath) until you can resume your repetitions.
